How do I install Surf Forecast Menubar?
After checkout you'll receive a download link by email. Open the
.dmg, drag the app into Applications, and launch it. The surf icon will appear in your menubar.Which macOS versions are supported?

Is this a subscription?
No. It's a single $9.99 purchase that includes lifetime updates.
Where does the forecast data come from?
We aggregate wave, swell, wind and tide data from multiple trusted marine sources and refresh it every few hours.
Can I add multiple surf spots?
Yes — add as many spots as you'd like and switch between them from the menubar dropdown.
How do I customize alerts?
Open Preferences from the menubar dropdown, pick a spot, and set your thresholds for wave height, wind direction and tide window.
Will it drain my battery?
No. The app sits idle in the menubar and only fetches a small amount of data every few hours. Negligible battery and network impact.
Do you collect personal data?
We don't track you. The only data leaving your Mac is the spot coordinates needed to fetch a forecast. See the privacy policy.
